More Information About Our Hospital Notary Services in Lanham Maryland
We provide compassionate and professional notarization services for families and patients within Maryland hospitals. We recognize the importance of privacy and maintaining a respectful bedside manner when handling crucial documents, especially within a hospital setting.

Our most frequently requested notarizations include Advanced Health Care Directives, Power of Attorney documents, Financial Power of Attorney forms, Mental Health Care Power of Attorney forms, Lien Release Forms, Impounded Car Release Forms, End of Life Care documents, and more. Whatever your notarization needs, we are here to assist you!

Important considerations:

-
Ensure that the patient is informed about the Notary's visit, understands the purpose of the document, and agrees to sign it before scheduling the service. No refunds will be issued if the patient is unaware of or refuses to sign the document.
-
Patients signing notarized documents must be fully alert and coherent. Notaries cannot proceed with the signing if the patient is heavily medicated or not of sound mind and body. It’s advisable to schedule the appointment at a time when the patient is most likely to be awake and aware.
-
Review your documents to determine if additional witnesses are required beyond the Notary Public. While a hospital staff member may sometimes act as a witness, it’s best to use documents that only require a Notary Public when possible.

Please remember, Notaries are not attorneys and cannot offer legal advice, including guidance on which documents you may need. However, we have partnered with LawDepot to help you access commonly used forms, such as Power of Attorney.

The Maryland Attorney General provides a free Life Care Planning Package that includes a Health Care Power of Attorney, Living Will, Mental Health Care Power of Attorney, Pre-hospital Medical Care Directives (Do Not Resuscitate), and a Registration Agreement.

We serve all hospitals in the Greater Lanham area during visiting hours. Be sure to verify visiting times with the nurses' station. When possible, please give at least 2 hours' notice. If you cannot meet the Notary at the hospital to receive the document, you can upload a shipping label from UPS or FedEx to this order using the upload button to have the document sent to you. We often recommend that clients secure at least two copies of important documents if the patient’s hospital stay may be prolonged, as multiple locations may need to retain a Power of Attorney or in case one copy is lost.
